Can I put my car or other vehicles into my trust?

Technically, you can title your car or other vehicles in the name of your revocable living trust, but we generally don’t recommend it unless there is a compelling reason to do so. Vehicles tend to be high-turnover assets, and titling them in the trust can lead to hassles with insurance and administrative complexity with the DMV and/or county clerk. Further, there is an easy process to transfer vehicles outside of probate in Tennessee.
