The financial qualifications for Medicaid are a monthly income of $2,901 per month, and less than $2000 in countable assets.

Non-countable assets are:

  • Home (Equity Capped at $730,000)
  • Vehicle
  • Pre-Paid Funeral (irrevocable)
  • Life Insurance ($1,500 max CV)
  • Personal Property

Everything else is considered a countable asset, and cannot exceed the value of $2000 to qualify you for Medicaid.
