What do I need to fund my trust?

This process can vary depending on the type of asset you are funding. Your Funding Instructions, provided with your plan, outline the steps for funding different types of assets.

For financial accounts, you will typically need basic information such as the type of account, the account number, and the name of the institution where the account is held. You will also need your Certificate of Trust. Some institutions may require these changes to be made in person, while others allow you to complete and submit a form by mail or online.

For business interests, real estate, or other complex assets, the process is more nuanced. In those cases, it’s best to connect with your attorney so we can ensure that each asset is properly funded into your trust.
